Today’s prompt was to write a san san – a form of poetry with a particular rhyme scheme and three words/images each repeated three times.
Take this sadness whole, freshly dug, tuned
to this yawning spring morning
like a tv channel looped on repeat.
Take this sadness whole, full mooned
it is fine-tuned, self-sufficient – forming
channels direct to apathy. Force it out into bloom,
as if my sadness were not complete,
but a humming mouth just channelling a tune.
